SCHOOL-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
This newly created role is for someone who is passionate about and experienced in building and sustaining strong school-community partnerships, gets excited about supporting student entrepreneurship, and advocates engaging youth communities in farming.
Reporting directly and working closely with the founders and country manager, responsible for the growth and management of strategic relationships with both existing and new school partners. The role will leverage current key partnerships while building and maintaining a pipeline of new partners and communities to grow the conversion opportunities.
Key goals for this role
Partnerships and Industrial Attachment (IA) program management with tertiary education schools, namely TVET (Technical/Vocational Education/Training) & IHLs (Institutes of Higher Learning)
Building and managing the community of interns, under-grads, fresh grads & alumni network
Conversion and/or recruitment of interns, Agropreneur-trainees, farm workers & Agropreneurs
Responsibilities
Manage the current and future school partners (TVET & IHL), actively developing new partnership opportunities and sustainable IA programs
Understanding the needs, challenges and motivations of the school partners, relevant agriculture faculties, departments and build rapport with respective communities of interns, under-grads, fresh grads & alumni
Compile and prepare data for growing and managing the youth communities, and maintaining the database of interested prospects
Day-to-day coordination of recruitment opportunities including identifying, attracting, screening, selecting, hiring and onboarding
Performing any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the founders
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of meaningful relevant experience with vocational tertiary schools and strong connections within the local tertiary education sector
Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree
Experience working and excels in maintaining good relationships with local school partners and youth communities
Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn, adaptable and enjoy the ability to be versatile
Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills in BM and good spoken and written English
Basic skillsets to develop content and collaterals for recruitment roadshows/career fairs (e.g. emails, flyers, social media content) is an added advantage
Experience developing projects and working with relevant NGOs is a strong advantage
Additional Information
Permanent job remuneration up to RM 48,000 - RM 82,000 per annum
Appointment may vary and remuneration will commensurate with candidate’s years of relevant working experience and track record
Flexible working hours and days in home/office/farm can be arranged (between Ipoh and KL)
Possess own transport and must be willing to travel within Malaysia (transport allowance/claims provided)
Able to start immediately is preferred
