BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
(KEY GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIPS)
This newly created role requires a unique blend of skills and passion for business development (BD) and account management, managing key government partnerships, focused on our Co-farming franchise licensing, developing relationships with potential licensees across state authorities, government-linked corporations, NGOs and other local private sector partners.
Reports directly to the founders, working closely with existing trusted government relationships and new licensing partners, striving for long-term engagement and partnerships.
Government Sector BD & Partnerships
Manage current and nurture new strategic relationships with emphasis on long-term partnerships in government sector
Analyse B2G deal requirements, potential new business and internal priorities
Develop strategic partnerships approach, execute plans and coordinate efforts to recruit and onboard Co-farming licensing partners
Responsible for managing key government partnerships and to build the team of account management when required
Other Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of pre-established new business opportunities including performing market research, prospecting, converting leads into new franchise licensee partners, onboarding and training in collaboration with Operations and Tech team
Support quick turnaround responses to business opportunities when appropriately needed
Internal and external stakeholder engagement
Complete special projects and perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the founders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business related field, or other equivalent industry work experience preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in government sector BD and account management or related field
Significant in-depth knowledge and understanding of the B2G procurement, budget, funding process within the government sector
Interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with government/private sector partners’ senior leadership
Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills in BM and good spoken and written English
Demonstrated experience in developing proposals and programs, winning contracts within the government sector
Experience developing projects and working with relevant NGOs is a strong advantage
Additional Information
Permanent job remuneration up to RM 72,000 - RM 108,000 per annum
Appointment may vary and remuneration will commensurate with candidate’s years of relevant working experience and track record
Flexible working hours and days in home/office/farm can be arranged (between Ipoh and KL)
Possess own transport and must be willing to travel within Malaysia (transport allowance/claims provided)
